Hello, I haven't seen any document as to what to put in the beginning of the file if it is a windows server.
I have discountasp.com, they tell me perl is at c:\perl.
So, how would I enter that into the script?
thanks J

The gm_install.html has some information on this (see the "Installing For The First Time" section). This is a little misleading because you would have to do the same thing for upgrades too.
Basically you'll want to open up gm.cgi, gm-library.cgi, gm-upload.cgi, gm-comments.cgi, and gm-karma.cgi and replace the very first line with: #!c:\perl
With windows, you might not even need to modify the files, since it will be paying more attention to the file ending (.cgi).

On the first line of each script that has the line
#!/usr/bin/perl
change it to
#!c:/perl/perl.exe
On Windows Servers the path must point at the perl.exe file or it will not work.

The examples I found on line use '\' for windows. I think '/' is unix/linux style.
The link provided by the isp might not be for the directory but for the actuall perl exe file. Depends on how it was setup.
