Hi,
I was wondering why the emoticons directory setting is treated differently to the other settings in 1.7.2.3
I've setup a test bed on a Fedora Core 6 box. The directory structure is: index file is in /var/www/html/blog archives are in /var/www/html/blog/archives cgi is at /var/www/cgi-bin and emoticons are at /var/www/html/emoticons
The emoticons aren't located by greymatter if I use the full path /var/www/html/emoticons (following the lead of all the other directory location settings) but show up fine if I tell it they're in /emoticons. They're not in /emoticons though (the directory is under /var/www/html as I mentioned above)
Curious why the full path is needed for the others, but not the emoticons location?
Cheers! Geoff

I think that field is actually looking for a web based url, instead of a directory path. The text next to the field says "either a website path (like http://) or a local path (like /emoticons).". Which I can see being confusing, it could specify a local website path.
