I am new to installing greymatter and am having a problem. I got everything uploaded/CHMODed correctly and went into configuration to set up my paths. I type everything in, and hit dignostics and this is the message I get:
greymatter 1.8.2 Error Notice Can't save the file "/archives/gm-testfile.txt". Please make sure that directory to save the file is CHMODed to 777 and that the file is CHMODed to 666. Also try running Diagnostics & Repair from the Configuration screen.
I don't have this file...is it something I need to download or create? I am confused and new to this. Any help would be appreciated. My index.html file is renamed to gmblog.html, my archives are in a folder called "archives" in the root directory which is located at "/". Thanks again everyone.

Scarlett064, you wouldn't happen to be using Namesecure.com as your web hosting provider? Namesecure just revamped their hosting servers & after several years of trouble free greymatter use on their servers i'm now unable to post, edit or reconfigure to make it work. i've gone through my configs, updated my local paths to what namesecure now has, checked chmods & it gives me the exact same error message as yours when performing diagnostics. Let me know if this helps. I'm not giving up yet, on my 2nd try to figure it out through namesecure tech support. email me @ karlw@lg3.com if you need a quicker reply.
