After upgrading Perl to 5.8.8 on Win2k, I can no longer upload files.
CGI open of tmpfile: Permission denied gm-upload.cgi: CGI open of tmpfile: Permission denied
I haven't found any useful info on where to set the Global Temp path for Perl. I would think that it would use Windows variable, but even with that folder having full 777 permissions for Everyone and IUSR I still have the same problem.
This is true for 1.3.1 and 2.7.2. I'm sure it is a Perl issue as 1.3.1 worked fine before the Perl upgrade. Is there a way to hardcode the Temp path in GM?

In Windows 2000 you can find the system environment variables by Right Clicking on "My Computer" then goto Properties > Advanced tab > Environment Variables button Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help.
Turns out that Winblows seemed to have forgotten how to see a user permissions. After auditing the Temp folder, IUSR_* is being denied access, even when I gave IUSR_* Full permissions.
Solution: Setting up a *nix server

What a pain. I like the idea of keeping software platform agnostic, but its tough to account for OS issues.
Good luck.
