hello, i just have a little question about the entries. how come when i posted a new entry the old one entries disappeared? i wanted that to be on my index not just the new entry so people can keep up about my online journal. is there anyway on the configuration to fix this? please help, thank you in advance. bakasarah.net/shouso-strip

Your configs might not be set to show enough days, what is your "Days to keep on main index:" config set to? If it is set to 1, you will only see the last entry.
Or it depends on how you have your templates setup. I think you have your templates to show the latest article.

i finally fixed my error here and now it's working fine. i have to re-do everything which kinda sucks because i lost my old entries @_@
anyhows, one more question:
if you wanted to cut your long entry, how would you do it?
for sample entry lets say..
i found an apple on the ground, want to know what happened?
("click here to see the whole entry") <---- this represents the link to the whole entry but i dont know how to cut and do it.
please advice, thanks!

Basically, I used the extended entry feature for this. I put the teaser text in the entry portion (with a link like '...more') and then I put the full text in th extended entry box when posting.
You can setup the templates so that you don't even have to put the link in your entry, it will show ...link on the main page. Let me know if you need details, I can dig it out of my templates.

Also, while working on the code, I ran across this template variable (which I found in gm_manual.html):
