I got everything up a running, but when you click on the comments link, it doesn't pop up and the background is all messed up, not like the main page. how to i fix that? so the background is the same AND the comments link pops up into a new window? stand-in-the-rain.netif you wanna check it out to see what i mean. thanks! also, i'm using the 1.7.1 version of greymatter, using windows xp (top view) and perl 5.8.4. under my general server information it says the operating system is Linux, don't know what that means (set up by my host) any more information needed? let me know

I've never used that {{popuptitle}} that you have for the comments link - maybe you would want to use the {{popup}} command instead.
Personally on my my site I have this javascript entered into my {{commentslink}} template, you could try pasting this in and trying that playing around with whatever values you want.
[<a href="javascript:void(0)" onClick="window.open('{{pagelink}}','comments','width=640,height=680,directories=no,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,status=no,resizable=yes,top=yes');return false">{{commentstatussmart}}</a>]
But your mileage my vary, someone else on here may have a better way to do it. My way is kinda old.

I tried posting a 'test' comment and it seemed to work, but the comments box did not popup in a new window. Is that what you want?

Ok, I get it now. The popup window actually is a different template than the regular comment template. In Gm Admin its Templates -> Misc. Templates -> {{popup}} Templates
You'll want to modify those templates to have your css and everything.

No problem. Basically you will want to copy the stuff from your 'Main Index Template' to your '{{popup}} Templates'. Use your browsers 'view source' feature to see whats missing in the popup template.
