Hi, I'm new here... greymatter user since 2003. I'm trying to set up Greymatter on my site since yesterday, with no success. I'm using version 1.3 now, but I've already tried with 7.2 and it's not working... I want the main index file and the entry/archive files .suffix to be .PHP; I think everything is OK with the configuration, I checked it many times, but the problem persists: the index is showing up, but when I click the comments link, the message "internal server error" appears on the screen... the same happens when I click that link that should show the individual entry page =/ I tried rebuiding the files, but didn't work; I don't know what to do. My site is: www.kawaiine.org/peachnessMy paths: Local log path: /home/rissa/public_html/peachness Local entrie/archives path: /home/rissa/public_html/peachness/archives Local CGI path: /home/rissa/public_html/peachness/cgi-bin Website log path: www.kawaiine.org/peachnessWebsite entries path: www.kawaiine.org/peachness/archivesWebsite CGI path: www.kawaiine.org/peachness/cgi-binCould someone help me? Thanks!

Your paths look good. When I try to comment, I too get an error, but I think thats because the page isn't there. Are there any files in /home/rissa/public_html/peachness/archives?
I think if we can get Rebuild to work, everything should be fine then. What happens when you try to rebuild your files? Are you able to run Diagnostics and Repair successfully?

Hi! Thank you for the support ^^ Im using my FTP client and yes, there are files inside the archives folder... they are: 00000001.cgi, 00000001.htm, 00000001.php, archive 042007.htm, archive042007.php, index.htm and index.php Well, I tried diagnostics and repair, and it was OK! ^^ ; After this, few minutes ago I tried the "rebuild everything" button and now nothing is showing up on the index page www.kawaiine.org/peachnessthis is so crazy! I use greymatter since 2003 and It never happened to me before... I really don't understand Thank you again ^^

You have two index files in your folders, index.htm and index.php What do you have GM config for, the .htm or .php ext? Your site comes up at www.kawaiine.org/peachness/index.htmSo I think the index.php is causing you problems. Try removing the index.php files and make sure GM is config for .htm and try the rebuild again. Good luck, Carlos

My GM was configured for .PHP, so I deleted the .HTM pages from the archives folder; the index page name was "index.php"; Rebuilt everything, but didn't work (internal server error again) Then I configured GM for .HTM pages, renamed the index to "index.htm", rebuilt everything and... everything worked great It seems like the problem is with the .PHP pages, even when GM file extensions are set to .PHP on the configuration panel.. what problem could be? Thank you!

Your web server may have a config problem with php pages or maybe the ext needed is diff. than what you are using.
I would try a test page with the correct ext for web server you are.
