I know I have everything CHMODed correctly but upon running my diagnostics I get "Can't save the file "/home/jreeves01/public_html/content/gm-testfile.txt". Please make sure that directory to save the file is CHMODed to 666 and try running Diagnostics & Repair from the Configuration screen."
What could be the problem?

Not to be pendantic, but are you sure that is the correct file path?
Also, I think that the directory should actually be chmod'd 777, according to the install document. I will fix that error message.

I did all the steps from the installation document (CHMODed files and directory, enter the correct paths, etc) and right after running diagnostics, I experience the same problem.
Is it been solved yet?
In addition, I'm using Greymatter 1.7.3 OS: Linux Apache version: 1.3.37 (Unix) PERL version: 5.8.7 Path to PERL: /usr/bin/perl PHP version 4.4.4
Hope it will be fixed soon.

Have you put a test file in the directory: /home/jreeves01/public_html/content/ And viewed it from a web browser?
With your Os and Perl version you shouldn't have a problem running Greymatter. With that error message, either your path is wrong, or there is an issue with your permissions.
Post back with the test file.

Dear Carlos...
Many thank you for the advice. It's a little bit confusing because I'm using subdomain... Also, unstable connection speed during the upload process might corrupt some files and affect chmodding steps...
I've try several times to find out what was wrong, combine your advice with my curiousity, and suddenly.... it works!!
Unfortunately, it becomes hard to identify what was the main point behind all of that since I do many trial and errors.
Anyway, again.... thank you so much for the help. ^^
