I am currently using greymatter 1.6.1
I can customize the header template just fine and it seems the foter and sidebar templates also respond to my changes
but none of the entry templates change at all when i customize them. i even deleted all the text in each template customize field
i.e Index Entry Template: Standard Entries -------------------------------------------------- nothing here. i deleted everything | |
it is as if my entries are reading another script from some other .cgi file
i have no idea why this is happening. i delete all the script and yet nothing changes. my journal entries still appear and in the generic template.
should i downgrade? is anyone else having issues?
please help

Hmm, that is strange (and frustrating). I would suggest the following.
When you try making a change, check the gm-templates.cgi. Look for the line that starts with "gmentrytemplate". Is you change reflected there?
Let me know the results. I tested doing a fresh install and an upgraded version. I was able to modify and save the "Index Entry Template: Standard Entries" field and see the changes reflected on the index page. Also, are you using GM 1.6.1 "fresh out of the box" or did you upgrade from a previous version?
