Hi. Me again.
Greymatter 1.7.3, bugs recently fixed by coldstone...
When I try to edit an entry, I receive this message:
After I receive this message, I have to close down GM and re-start it; anything else I try to do returns that message (viewing the CP log, etc.). But no 'breaking script' message has appeared in the CP log.
Weird.
As a note, I'm trying to edit posts using IE7, which I hate (I'm on vacation and that's the only option available for browsers)...everything seemed to work okay in Firefox. I'll try to edit posts again from a different browser and post whether or not that makes a difference.

Can you post the general format of the message? Specifically, I am wondering if you are using newlines in you entry? If so, can you try a test entry all in one paragraph?

It *should* be fixed, but there is always the possibility that it isn't fixed for all situations. I fixed it for comments and previewing entries, but it might be caused by the newline characters entered by IE.

I'm not sure what newlines are - do you mean line breaks?
The format of this post isn't any different from any other post, with the one exception of my using the "nbsp;" character rather than an actual space for indents - the post is a poem.
My other entries don't seem to pose a problem when I edit them. I did test editing another post, and it seemed to work all right.
Which prompted me to go in there and use the blockquote element rather than the "nbsp;" character. It's working now.

I'm not sure what newlines are - do you mean line breaks? Yes, it was manual line breaks (rather than just letting an entry word-wrap) that used to cause that error in 1.7.2

ahh, yes. Greymatter's old arch nemisis, the ampersand or '&' character.
This is a little known issue that I am trying to address and which is seems I will have to really put some time into. Greymatter uses ampersands internally and it doesn't do a thorough job when dealing with them. Gm also doesn't like ampersands in Templates either.
There workaround is to use '|AMP|' (without the quotes) everytime you want to use the '&' character.
