You are right, you need to have multiple installations of Greymatter to have multiple blogs. This is on my "wish list" to fix in a future version of Greymatter.
I currently have three greymatter blogs on my server, all three on the same website but on different subdomains. I have one on Oracle Security which is my main site and also one on SQL server security and finally my web development blog. Have a look, you can see how I have used the same directory structures both physically and logically and I can successfully use all three blogs from the same server and site.
I was just wondering if that is a feature of WP or MT? Not that it really matters, I think the GM community can decide which features to have regardless of what other ones have. This seems like it might be a big step though. It would take some discussion.
