Maybe, I have seen some browser agnostic javascript editors. This is overkill for GM, but I thought it was pretty cool: demo.wikiwyg.net/wikiwyg/demo/standalone/If you double click on the text, you get an editor box. Its intended for wikis, but I think it tries to just be a plug and play editor.

This editor is kind of cool. I have a few new blog projects in the works where this is what the end users really need. I will give it a try and let you know how it works out.
Thanks for the credit in the GM 1.7.2 release notes, but I am not sure what I added to the project.

I can't remember either off hand. You did point out some invalid xhtml in the templates, but I thought it was something else. All I remember is doing something and thinking, "I should give Carlos credit for this".
