Hi All,
I am looking at the comments code and as most people will know the search functionallity is also in the comments file. Does anyone know why? - I am also proposing that we seperate the two features into two seperate cgi files?
cheers
Pete

Hi Pete,
I also wondered about that. I am ambivilant about it (but I agree, its not intuitive), but just wanted to point out an issue to consider.
The more cgi scripts we have, the longer the installation process. There will be more files to change the perl path on. Plus the comments file is not very long and the searching code is even shorter.
This might be something to consider down the road though, depending on what people think.

Hi Coldstone,
Thanks for your comments. I agree this is a short file but good development practice puts different features in different files. It simply makes it easier to find functionallity, to keep things simple and to update in the future. I agree that the install would be harder to do but as I posted previously we can look at making the install easier anyway.
cheers
Pete
