I want to use the feature "connect files". I couldn't find any information on that issue. What must be written in the file, that I would like to connect? For example I want to connect "links.html" with header footer sidebar and a special text. Do I enter the content before with the help of an editor or after I have connected it by using Grey Matter?? How does it works? Thanks a lot !! Grey Matter is totally great. Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,
Connected files are one of those areas that need more documentation. Basically, you want to create your links.html file with the {{header}}, etc. tags and then in the configuration screen, enter the file location in the connected files box. Once you save, and rebuild your files, your 'links.html' file will have your sites header, or whatever tags you use.
Note however, that you can no longer edit the 'links.html' file. Rather, the original file will appear in your archives folder with a modified name. So now you can either edit that file, or when you create your links.html file do something like this:
{{header}} {{customone}} {{footer}}
Then whenever you want to add more links, you modify your {{customone}} template and rebuild your files. I have used that for a photo gallery on my site and its good.
