Yeah, the ampersand is kinda silly, that its not auto translated. Someone was having trouble with some javascript that was used a logical and (&&) and gm of course was not happy. That is one of my todos, to translate that and other problematic characters for the user. Of course, its hard to know when to translate, and when its already been translated.
&& is obvious, but I suppose its ok to ignore anything thats &*;, unless of course someone is blogging about those codes and don't want them to appear naticely.
