When I use "{{dayday}}{{monthword}}{{yearyear}}" for the date at the top of my entries on the main index page, it displays the date on which the entry was written (as expected). On the individual entry page, however, that same set of variables evaulates to the date on which the pages were last rebuilt - not the date on which the entry was written.
Using any combination of upper/lower/short in the {{monthword}} variable will display the proper month on the individual entry page. I've not found a loophole to {{dayday}} or {{day}} - they display the last-rebuild date on the individual entry pages regardless.
Ideas on what's causing this? I was having this same problem with my 1.3.1 install, and upgraded to 1.7.1 in the past few days only to have this problem remain.

Thanks for pointing this out. The template translation code is very complex and as I have been going through the code, I have run across issues like this.
Unfortunately, since it is a difficult problem, there is no quick or easy solution. The good news is that this is something that will be addressed. Additionally, I was not able to reproduce this issue in my 1.7.2 test area. However, I was not able to reproduce in my 1.7.1 test area, either.
Are these archived entries, and could you post your entry templates?
