After moving gm from my windows server to a linux server I can't get it to work anymore. I have chmod'ed the files, and changed the perl path, but after logging in I do get this error message:
ERROR: Greymatter could not determine the version setup. Please make sure that Greymatter is installed correctly. Try reuploading the gm-config.cgi file that came with Greymatter and try logging in again; you'll need to reconfigure your Configuration settings.
My version is 1.3.1.

I would guess winows style line endings are confusing GM. Can you do a raw view of the gm-config.cgi file (like with an editor like vi)?
If you do have the line ending issue, I would try re-uploading your files to your linux server, make sure to set your ftp program to assume 'plain text' or 'ascii'. Version 1.3.1 is a recognized version, which is why I suspect the line endings, since an unrecognized char at the end of the string would cause GM to hork.
Write back if there are still problems.

Hi, There is a command on Unix/Linux called dos2unix, use man dos2unix for details. Run this to convert the file endings. Also you can get a dos2unix for Windows - see www.bastet.com/ for instance. hth cheers Pete
