I upgraded yesterday from v 1.7.1 to 1.7.2.3, and got a message today from a user about commenting problems he was having. That turned out to be the comment linebreak bug already solved elsewhere in this forum. I noticed when I posted a test comment that the verification process was providing me with a random string to enter. However, I had the preference set in 1.7.1 as "static phrase", so that I got the same phrase each time. It's still set that way in 1.7.2.3, but I now get the randomized phrase each time. I tried all the usual suspects of toggling it from one option to another, but it doesn't seem to matter if you have "Random Phrase" or "Static Phrase" selected - users get the random phrase. Thoughts? The installation in question is here --> www.marlinnut.com/mblogStan Ecklund Jr. Southern California Marlin Online

Hmm, sounds like a bug. I can look into that and post a fix later.
--- Update: Verified this is a bug. Will post a fix later, which should be simple, but I want to test it before posting. Thanks for catching this. My apologies, when I refactored the random phrase generation, I accidentally got rid of the case where it the phrase can be static.

Hey, it's the least I can do for all the work you guys are putting into keeping Greymatter relevant.
