So I just finally re-downloaded GreyMatter and installed it and now I'm just trying to make sure everything works, and of course I have problems with my comments. It'll let me get to the comment form and everything seems to work fine, but if I click "Submit" I get the following: Not Found The requested URL /cgi-bin/gm-comments.cgi was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.slightly-defective.net Port 80 |
So I don't know what's wrong. I've tried moving a few things and re-config. a few other things and nothing seems to work. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance

A wild guess would be that you have, A) not uploaded all the files to your /cgi-bin/ directory, or B) not entered the correct paths in your config.
Do the GM control panel log tell you anything? And check your apache error_log as well.
Edit: Make sure you have chmod'ed the files acording to the README as well, though i doubt it would give you that error message if that was the problem.

Alright so here's where I'm confused. In my ftp there's already a /cgi-bin/ directory. When I downloaded the new version of GM, it had the /gm/ directory, and INSIDE that folder was a /cgi-bin/ containing all the .cgi files
So I'm thinking that when I did the configuration maybe it was trying to look in the wrong /cgi-bin/ directory? I'm going to move some files around and have everything like I did last time I had GM and see if it works that way. =]

When you download Greymatter, you should move all the files in gm/cgi-bin to your existing cgi-bin.
Just in explanation, that existing cgi-bin directory was setup by your web host and it can be reached from the web by going to 'slightly-defective.net/cgi-bin/'. The cgi-bin that came with greymatter probably isn't in a location that you can see with your web browser.
