Ok, here is the deal...
I have two domains each running Greymatter. Both are with the same hosting company and both on the same server.
I have been running GM 1.7.1 on both web sites with no problems.
The operating system is: Linux 2.6.9-42.0.10.ELsmp
The web server is: Apache
Perl Version 5.008008
I just upgraded to GM 1.7.4.
On one domain, everything works fine. But on the other GM when I make my posts, links in the posts are altered.
is changed to....
'http:<span style="font-style: italic;">www.domainname.com.....</span>'
The 0000XXXX.cgi file in the archives folder is fine. But when the HTML page is created, the above replacement occurs.
I have tried rebuilding everything several times.
I have tried reuploading the files.
I don't know what else do do.
I am amazed that it works fine on one domain and screw up on the other.
Any suggestions?
-Chris
P.S. I did the upgrade thing.. not a complete new install.
P.S.S. All my archives were changed in the above manner too.
!!!UPDATE!!!!!: I just figured it out.
I had "Allow Easy Formatting" set to "BOTH".
This converts the "\\" in URLS in your posts to the stuff I mentioned above.
I don't know if this is a bug or not... but it was driving me buggy!
Set Easy Formatting to NEITHER in your config file and you will not have this problem crop up.
