I have a .mov file I want to place in one of my posts. No problem uploading it... but I need to put a long piece of html into a post to get it to show up in someones browser. Ive done it previously no problems by creating a static html page with all the data, but greymatter doesnt like it. Any suggestions/help appreciated. The code follows....
<script language="javascript" src="p2q_embed_object.js"></script> <script language="javascript"> <!-- if (window.p2q_Version) { p2q_EmbedQuicktime('sugarhill.mov','400','300', 'scale','tofit', 'controller','true'); } else { document.writeln('<br><b>p2q_embed_object.js is not included! Please copy this file into your html directory.</b><br>'); } //--> </script>
<noscript> <br><b>Please enable Javascript!</b></br> </noscript>

What kind of error does Greymatter give you? It doesnt give me any error.... just formats the blank lines with <br /> - so then if I attempt to remove all the blank lines from the coding the code fails anyway! Was hoping there was a way of bracketing text so it wasnt touched by the filters. The result at the moment is the page shows neither the mov file embedded or any of the alternative "warning" text. see - seamanrob.easyalliance.com/archives/00000023.html for an example

It appears that you what to embed the sugarhill.mov file into a web page so that it plays when someone goes to the page.
The following code should do this:
<object classid="clsid:02BF25D5-8C17-4B23-BC80-D3488ABDDC6B" codebase="http://www.apple.com/qtactivex/qtplugin.cab" height="400" width="300"> <param name="src" value="http://seamanrob.easyalliance.com/sugarhill.mov"> <param name="autoplay" value="true"> <param name="type" value="video/quicktime" height="400" width="300"> <embed src="http://seamanrob.easyalliance.com/sugarhill.mov" height="400" width="300" autoplay="true" type="video/quicktime" pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/"> </object>
Good luck, Carlos
