It seems strange that this problem was never reported. Apparently, GM always inserts a <BR> when you start a new line, even if the new line is just an html tag. In particular, when inserting a table, if you write: <TABLE> <TR> <TD> Some stuff here</TD> <TD> Some other stuff here </TD> </TR> <TR> <TD> Row II Some stuff here</TD> <TD> Row II Some other stuff here </TD> </TR> </TABLE> the resulting format is a mess because GM honors the line breaks after each tag. It is therefore necessary to write everything on one line. This is hard to edit and also creates a problem when copying tables from other source code.

The insertion of the <BR> tags is controlled by the templates and can be change by anyone using Greymatter with Edit Templates rights. If you would like to change it go to the following locations in your Greymatter Control Panel. - Edit Templates > Editing Miscellaneous Templates > Line Separator
- Edit Templates > Editing Miscellaneous Templates > Paragraph Separator
The first is inserted where you have one line feed in your copy. The second is inserted where you have two line feeds in your copy. Hope this help, Carlos
