Hi I have just tried to get v1.8.2 working. I have a subdomain blog.xxxxxxxxx.com I have installed the application as per the instructions. I have put the cgi's in the cgi-bin directory as required on my server. Perl is installed in usr/bin/perl. I have chmodded all files and directories as per the install guide. I have created an archives directory at the same level as the cgi-bin directory. What I cannot do is run gm.cgi I keep getting a 404 Not Found error. I have tried running it at the base subdomain level, at the subdomain/logs/ level and at subdomain/cgi-bin/ level all without success. Is there something I haven't done or have I got the paths screwed or is it because I am trying to run it as a subdomain? Any help most welcome Colin

If nobody has any ideas I will have to pass on this software and try something else which will be a shame as I have heard good things about it.

Sounds like you have the path to the cgi incorrect. 404 means that you aren't using the correct url. I would ask your webhost what url to use for where the you put the files. If you are unsure about Greymatter, you could use a test file, but Greymatter should not give you a 404 error. I would expect you to be able to see the admin screen at: blog.xxxxxxxxx.com/cgi-bin/gm.cgi

I eventually found how to get into it as it isn't logical this may help someone else. I had to access it by xxxxxxxxx.com/blog/cgi-bin/gm.cgi. Now all I have to do is sort out how to access it from the subdomain URL.

This is dependent entirely on whomever is hosting your domain. While it maybe helpful for other users of your hosting company, its not Greymatter specific.
