Hi, I just upgraded from 1.3.1 to 1.8.1 and it upgraded fine but when I got to diagnostics and repair I got the following error:
Software error: Invalid "digit" argument given to _padDigits: Gm_Utils::gmWarn() at line 334 in libs/Gm_Utils.pm (Gm_Utils) Gm_Utils::_padDigits() at line 281 in libs/Gm_Utils.pm (Gm_Utils) Gm_Utils::toTwoDigit() at line 3699 in libs/Gm_Core.pm (Gm_Core) Gm_Core::collateComments() at line 2321 in libs/Gm_Core.pm (Gm_Core) Gm_Core::getEntryVariables() at line 242 in libs/Gm_Core.pm (Gm_Core) Gm_Core::reconstructEntrylist() at line 2138 in gm-library.cgi (main) main::gm_diagnosticsperform() at line 144 in gm.cgi (main). Error originated at at libs/Gm_Utils.pm line 418.
Any help? Thanks.

Do you still have your 00000000.cgi file? Remove it and try again if its still there.
I don't think that would cause this error, otherwise I am guessing that there are some problem comments.

What do you mean by problem Comments? I had a lot of spam that I removed and then simply closed option to add comments on these entries. I'll try removing the 00000000.cgi but what if I get that error again?

Did you manually modify any of your entry (.cgi) files? Basically Greymatter is going through your comments on all your entries, and there is a missing bit of information in a comment (like part of a date or something).
I can give you a new file to install that will tell you which entry and comment it is working on when it errors out if you want. Then we would be able to fix that entry.

Hi, I don't think I manually modified any of the .cgi files but I don't remember. Maybe. Yes, please send me the file.

Hi, thank you for the file. Ok so I have followed instructions and below is what shows in the file after I run the config and repair:
Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:28:34 -0500:1:Checking entry: 3 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:28:34 -0500:1:Checking entry: 2 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:28:34 -0500:1:Checking entry: 1 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:31:08 -0500:1:Checking entry: 3 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:31:08 -0500:1:Checking entry: 2 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:31:08 -0500:1:Checking entry: 1 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:31:35 -0500:1:Checking entry: 3 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:31:35 -0500:1: Processing comment: 1 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:31:35 -0500:1:Checking entry: 2 Fri, 25 Apr 2008 04:31:35 -0500:1:Checking entry: 1
And here's something that will probably give you a clue. When I went to check these entries in the edit entries options, there not there. My entries start from number 4. Since these go back to 2005 i really have no idaea what happened there, if i had any problems with them.
Thanks, Agata

The missing entries are probably an issue, but those lines were already in the trace.trc file. I forgot to delete them before sending them to you. We should be seeing new lines in there, so I think the file permissions are not correct. Did you chmod the file to 777 and run Diagnostics and Repair?
Greymatter should recreate any missing files you have, it will create 'fake' closed files. I am guessing though that Greymatter is not getting to your first files.

I checked the file again and now it has more lines in there. I guess it took a wile to process and I looked at it too soon.
There are many lines in there and I can't post here because it exceeds the limit. Can I inster file here?

I got your message and it looks like the trouble maker is the first comment in entry 00000349.cgi. Either post or email me the entry and I can take a look and it and let you know what to change. Basically Greymatter is chocking on the date of the first comment for that entry, specifically the month is blank or invalid somehow.
There maybe other entries that have issues. So, once we fix 349, will have to look at the trace file again after running Diagnostic and Repair.

Here it is: 349|Agatka|Pstrykanki|6|11|16|2002|1|22|33|PM|0|0|1|no|no|open|||no ||| ||| Lubie zajmowac sie czyms nowym tak jak galeria czy ksiazka gosci. Lubie rozszyfrowywac skrypty i starac je sobie zmodyfikowac do mojej strony, przetlumaczyc a takze dodac rozne ciekawostki. Na forum takich skryptow mozna sie duzo dowiedziec. Znalazlam np i wpisalam do plikow galeri kod ktory wysyla zawiadomienie e-mialem o dodaniu do zdjecia komentarza. Polozylam sie i nagle przyszla mi mysl do glowy. Ten skrypt, ktory sciagnelam uzywal dwoch plikow, jeden zawieral informacje o database a drugi laczyl skrypt z db.

Can you post the error from the screen? Also, is there anything new in the trace.trc file (just look at the last 5-10 lines and look for the date you tried to do the rebuild on)?
I may have to give you another file so that we can pin down where Rebuild is having an issue.
