Something went pear shaped whilst I was uploading an image for a new entry. Greymatter said there was a problem with a particular file so I deleted it. Greymatter then wouldn't rebuild as it needed this particular file. To get round this I copied the previous entry and re-numbered it. After much blind panic - lost archives etc - things seem to be almost back to normal. However, when looking to edit this copied entry it does not appear in the list. I was up to entry 00000014 when it went awry whilst trying to post entry 00000015. I have just done a new post and this has gone in as entry 00000016. Looking at "Edit An Entry" number 00000015 is missing. This is the offending blog www.rhodieridgeback.com/logs/louislog.htmlYou can see two identical entries for the 10th April - the upper one of these is the offending entry 00000015. I opened the cgi file for 00000015 that was a copy of 00000014 and changed the first two digits from 14 to 15 and thought that I had cracked it but that didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks, Andy

You are correct about changing the 14 to 15, but then you have to run Diagnostic and Repair, so that the gm-entrylist.cgi is updated. That file is basically a summary of all your entries and is generated by Greymatter.
You might also want to change the time of entry 15, so that it is a minute later than entry 14 (change the 2nd field after the 2008 field). Greymatter really wants your files to be sequential by date/time.

Thanks for that - it did the trick. I got a load of FTP errors at the time of uploading (problem with my host) and I think this must have been the start of the problem.
Appreciate your help.
