I posted this query at tinymce.moxiecode.com/punbb/index.php --- a very good free text editor, which I use with Greymatter. The problem I've having is set out in my query, and the reply is from an adminstrator at moxiecode. I sent both to my web hosting site, phpwebhosting.com a while ago. In the meantime, maybe somebody here might be knowledgeable enough to help.
I add that the web developer who completely reprogrammed my site --- www.thebuggyprofessor.org --- was Carlos Phelps, a former moderator here. He is very knowledgeable and was always polite and quick in replying to my queries; but for some reason he stopped replying when I ran into some problems around the New Year and has ended all contact with me. His choice. Strange though. I always thanked him for his help and paid him promptly for his outstanding professional work.

MOXIECODE QUERY
I use IE 7 exclusively for my loading software --- Greymatter --- into which TinyMCE has been installed. TineMCE is an excellent Word-like text editor, which I can only applaud. There is, however, a recent problem, and I think it has to do with TinyMCE, though to be frank it could also be Greymatter, the loading software.
Once I post a document file on my web site --- www.thebuggyprofessor.org --- and then decide to do some revision, I find that when I finish revising and post anew, there will be a few appearances of the letter "f" that attach themselves to some full words. The "f" is always lower-case. The only way I, a novice in web development --- left high-and-dry by my web developer and manager, who seems to have faded into cyberspace (or maybe gone interstellar skyhooting to E.T.'s home-planet) --- will be able to know if the problem of the "f" is in TinyMCE or my loading software is to find out if others in this forum has noticed a similiar problem..
So . . . if anyone else has noticed this problem, kindly let me know. And if you have fixed it, that would be kinder still.
Cordially,
Michael Gordon, AKA the buggy professor

E-mail Website Re: Strange Letter "f" Appears after Posting to Web SiteNever seen or heard any reports of mysterious f characters. It might be some encoding problem on the server like UTF-8 storage but ISO-8859-1 on the client. Hard to know what it might be without seeing the code of the project.
