Hi, I've installed version 1.8.1 and I've saved the configuration and then ran the Diagnostics.
I get the following message:
* All config files are readable/writeable and are CHMODed correctly * The local CGI path is correctly configured and all essential files are there * The entries/archives path is readable/writeable and is CHMODed correctly * The main index file is readable/writeable and is CHMODed correctly
I then click 'Add entry' and continue to get the following message:
Please run "Diagnostics & Repair" in the Configuration screen before posting your first entry.
I do this, and yet its still does not let me add an entry. I've tried re-installing everything but I still get the same message.
Would anyone know how to resolve this please?
Lastly it worked yesterday when I first installed GreyMatter but today I get this error.
Server stats:
Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix) PERL version 5.8.7 Path to PERL /usr/bin/perl Path to sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail PHP version 4.4.7 MySQL version 4.1.22-standard
Thanks

Please ignore message above. I opened the gm-counter.cgi file and edited the amount of entries to 1 and it all worked.

Glad to hear it worked. Do you remember anything you were doing before it stopped working?
I wonder how the entry number got off, then not repaired by Diagnostic and Repair. That is not good.

Hi there, this was a clean installation on the server.
However I do get a problem when trying to rebuild the log archives, I get 500 error.
Also the archive headers don't show.
will try and reinstall again.

Did you change the templates before you got a 500 error?

I did change the templates, but also replaced the master Log Archive files codes and still get the error.

You could try making a backup of your gm-templates.cgi file then copying the original over. If it rebuilds then it was probably something with the template changes.
