Login page not accepting password after upgrading
« Thread Started on Mar 30, 2010, 7:17pm »

I upgraded from version 1.31. to 1.8.2 and now the login page (www.site.com/cgi-bin/gm.cgi) is not accepting the Author/password combo. I checked the chmods for all the files and also updated the version number manually in gm-config.cgi. It still gives me an error saying "The password you entered for that author is incorrect. Please try again."

I am on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.

Please help.

Thanks,
Eddy

Please help! I am on a time-sensitive deadline. Am planning to publish a new look of the site for our 10th wedding anniversary, which is in six days. Please!

Hi, I'm sorry you didn't get this replied to. 1.8series upgraded to encrypted passwords so your old plain text password would not have worked after the upgrade. Hope you got it all figured out...
