I was wondering if anyone has looked into being able to list the last XX number of news posts and the last XX number of comments. To be more specific, I use to have the recent headlines posted at the top of my page but since coming back to greymatter after a couple of years I can no longer find how I did that. Also was looking to see if there was a way to have the Last 5 or 10 comments posted to the site listed much like a headlines mod.

Hi Awp,
I moved this post here as this is not a feature request as this functionallity exists. Have a look at the {{logentrylist}}, {{logshortentrylist}} and {{logmoreentrylist}} variables. These have a lot of modifiers. For instance do:
{{logentrylist number}} this will give you a list of entries that are formatted based on the templates "entry list link" and "entry list seperator" in the miscellaneous templates section. The number is specified in the configuration screen as the number of recent entries.
You can do the {{logentrylist commentsnumber}} which does the same for comments.
hth
cheers
Pete

A 747 was halfway across the Atlantic when the captain got on the loud speaker, "Attention, passengers. We have lost one of our engines, but we can certainly reach London with the three we have left. Unfortunately, we will arrive an hour late as a r esult." http://www.mmomesos.com Shortly thereafter, the passengers heard the captain's voice again, "Guess what, folks. We just lost our third engine, but please be assured we can fly with only one. We will now arrive in London three hours late."
At this point, one passenger became furious. "For Pete's sake," he shouted, "If we lose another engine, we'll be up here all night!" http://www.mmohome.com
