 At a Complete Loss
« Thread Started on Feb 8, 2010, 4:42pm »

Please please please help me figure out what I am doing wrong!

I last used Greymatter in 2005 (not sure what version I was running).
I was able to configure it all and it worked just fine with no problems.

Since then, I changed my domain name (but stayed with the same hosting company).
I am trying to install the new version of Greymatter (for the first time) using WS_FTP.
WS_FTP lists the file types that will automatically be uploaded in ASCII and I made sure both .cgi and .pm were in that list before I uploaded the files.
I followed all of the instructions for CHMODing and did so accordingly.

I wonder if my problem is perl.
I don't have a very good understanding of it, and I'm not sure where to find my perl address.
I went into my cpanel and saw this:

Is that my perl location?
If so, I tried that already and I still got the 500 internal server error.
I also tried the common perl locations:
#!/usr/bin/perl
#!/usr/local/bin/perl

No change.

Like I said before, I never had this problem when I installed it in 2005.

I really want to get my weblog up soon.
Please help!

Thanks~

OK.
I tried again, and I got it to work.

However, I am running version 1.3 because I am scared to upgrade. .___.;

You can close this topic now. I fixed my own problem.
